We have added some great new features to iYomu to enhance your online experience. These include:
Multiple File Uploads - Upload multiple files to your vault through our new greatly improved file uploader. Your Vault is a great way to securely store important photos and images protecting them should the originals ever get lost. iYomu gives you 1GB of free storage which is enough to store up to *2000 photos or thousands of documents or hundreds of compressed videos. *based upon average file sizes
Quick Hint for uploading video files - If you want to save your videos in your vault in an uncompressed format, put the video into the documents folder and it will save it in its original format.
Extra Challenge Points - It is only 16 weeks until the US$1 Million Dollar Challenge closes. Remember the top 10 points earners on the 31st December 2007 will become the finalists for the US$1 Million Dollar prize. We have just made it a lot easier to refer friends through a multiple friend referrer. From today onwards each friend you refer who then signs up to iYomu will now earn you 25,000 points for the Challenge. If you are not in the competition then we have made it possible for you to gift your points to another user. We have also made it really easy for you to personalize the referral letter that will be sent out to your friends.
We have also added another 100,000 points towards the Challenge for those members who complete their iYDNA. These new points will be awarded retroactively to all members who have already referred friends and who have completed their iYDNA.
Your Friends Online - If you want to know whether your friends are online the same time as you are then just go to My Friends and next to their mini profile you can see whether they are online.
We love hearing your stories and receiving your feedback so keep your messages coming.
Best wishes

iYomu.com Social Network to Vote One Member
a Life-Changing $1 Million Dollars
In a world-first, new social networking website for grown-ups iYomu.com has announced that it will ask its online community to choose one member to receive US$1 million in the iYomu.com Challenge.
After completing a series of puzzles and tasks to earn points, three finalists from anywhere in the world will explain why they should receive US$1 million and how it will change their lives. The ultimate decision will be made by an online vote of the iYomu community.
"This is the first time a public online social network has been entrusted with making such a significant decision," says iYomu founder David Wolf-Rooney.
"The Challenge heralds the next stage in the evolution of social networking. We are entrusting the iYomu.com community with the power to elect one of their own as the winner of US$1 million. At the end of the Challenge, one iYomu member's life will be changed by the US$1 million, but we expect the whole community to have been touched in a positive way."
iYomu says the winner can use the money for anything they want. "The winner could use the money for an aid project, to start their dream business or even just a holiday. It will be up to the online community to decide," says David Wolf-Rooney.
The iYomu.com Challenge begins on Monday 13 August 2007 and points can be accumulated until midnight on 31 December 2007. Users will gain points for completing a range of online activities, including referring friends, completing their user profiles in full and correctly solving 12 cryptic puzzles featuring locations from around the world. People must be over 18 to join iYomu.com and participate in the Challenge.
The top 10 points earners will be interviewed by iYomu and three grand finalists selected. The online community will vote for the iYomu.com Challenge winner in February 2008. The winner will receive US$1 million in 12 monthly instalments.
"The winner not only receives the funding to make it happen, but also the support and goodwill of a large online community. Depending on what they propose to do if they win, the community support may be of greater value than the money," says David Wolf-Rooney.
The iYomu.com Challenge is being held to launch the iYomu.com social networking website for grown-ups. The name of the site, iYomu, stands for I, You, Me and Us.
iYomu's research found that there were few social networking sites specifically targeting adults who wanted a way to find and stay in touch with a more mature audience online.
"Many people were put off by existing social networks that started as places for teenagers or students. However, there are lots of benefits for grown-ups in social networking, such as staying in touch with family and friends around the world, storing and sharing important documents and photos, or finding advice," says iYomu Director Frances Valintine.
Already online communities have been created on iYomu.com about the lives of working mums, property investment, golf courses and book clubs, rather than the socialising or entertainment categories found in social networks for younger audiences.
The iYomu service is free, and features one gigabyte of storage for photos and documents, easy to use search tools, a personal homepage, email account, personality test and many other easy to use tools aimed at older internet users. People can also purchase additional storage space for their iYomu vault.
iYomu.com is backed by private investors from seven countries around the world who have underwritten the US$1 million prize.
